Published

Archived teaching material, in French. A set of programming challenges built around the 2048 game, used as a project support in first-year programming courses.

The challenges asked students to implement, step by step, the mechanics of the 2048 game — grid representation, moves and merges, score, random tile spawning, end-of-game detection — and then to go further: an automatic solver, a statistical study of strategies, a graphical interface.

This material has since been replaced by the project work in Web 101 · Villebon and TypeScript 101, which build similar projects in the browser.
